Online checking-in is a modern way for self-flight registration through a website of an airline or automatic systems of an airport.

Online check-in sufficiently saves time and allows a passenger choose a seat on its own. A few things are needed: access to internet and a device to print out boarding ticket prior to boarding.

Departure is stated always on local time. A passenger who missed a check-in has a chance to loose his/her seat, while an airline has a right to use the seat on its own discretion.
