“Lake Baikal Airport” JSC became a laureate of reward “For great progress in flight safety providing”
On the 12th of May in Moscow “Lake Baikal Airport” Joint Stock Company represented by the general director Nevzorov S.A. was presented with reward of non-commercial partnership “Flight safety” “For great progress in flight safety providing”. Diploma and special prize of partnership was presented by the management chairman, military leader of the USSR and Russia, air marshal Shaposhnikov E.I. The reward distinguishes air organizations (air companies, air technical bases and other), which provide unfailing service during long period (not less than 10 years) and achieved the great progress in flight safety providing. There were chief of Rosaviation Neradko A.V. and deputy chief of Rostransnadzor Chertok V.B. in the meeting.

New air companies are entering the market of Ulan-Ude
In summer 2011 people of the republic will get an opportunity to choose air companies, some new flights are planned to start.

Air companies “Yakutia” and “Rusline” have obtained a permit to carry out flights to Chinese People's Republic
As a result of joint work of the air companies and the airport, the air companies “Yakutia” and “Rusline” have obtained a permit to carry out international flights from Ulan-Ude to Chinese People's Republic (such cities as Tientsin, Harbin, Shenyang).

Airport Ulan-Ude has essentially increased indicators of last years
According to the results of 2010, passengers number of “Lake Baikal Airport” JSC increased by 29% in comparison with 2009 and by 18.2% in respect of 2008.

Air company “Eznis Airways” will increase flights number Ulan-Ude – Ulanbator
Air company “Eznis Airways” (Mongolia) declares on increase of flights frequency on route Ulan-Ude – Ulanbator. Since October 31, 2010 regular flights will be carried out tree time a week – every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday – by Swedish aircrafts Saab-340B. One way flight endurance is 1.5 h.

Airport Ulan-Ude is permitted to serve B-767 and its modifications on regular base since September 29, 2010.

Air company “Transaero” increased number of flights from airport Ulan-Ude
Due to unsatisfied demand for passenger transfer on route Moscow – Ulan-Ude – Moscow air company “Transaero” launched two additional flights. Flights 177/178 are since the 2d of August on Tuesday and Friday from the airport Ulan-Ude.
